[xmlsec] Compiling xmlsec with gcc 3.3

I'm working with Darian Lanx to try to get xmlsec working under OS X 
Panther (10.3). Darian tells me that the gcc 3.3 compiler reports 
parsing errors on some of the C++ typedefs. He's curious: has the 
library been compiled succesfully with gcc 3.3 on any other platforms? 
That would let us narrow the problem down. I searched the archive but 
didn't see any references to gcc 3.3.
